About Us
BRYC is a year-round arts organization which is a feeder program for school music departments and increases Home School options for music curriculum.
Goals for youth attending will include learning & performing new songs, having fun, meeting new people, forming friendships, improving self esteem, posture and improving self-confidence.

Cindy Leahy
Executive Director
Cindy brings 30 years of private music studio teaching, 18 years of music teaching at St. Joseph Catholic School and Morristown High School, and many years of non-profit management experience, serving as Managing Director of Shelby County Players since 2010. Cindy has a BA in Communications with a Minor in Music from Millikin University with teaching license and accreditation from Indiana Wesleyan University and Marion University.
Jamee Scheid
Choir Director
Jamee Scheid is the 6-12 choir director of the Blue River Youth Choir and also leads the 5th–6th grade choir at North Decatur Elementary. She graduated from Indiana State University in 2019 with a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. A passionate performer, she appears throughout the Indianapolis area as her pop-yacht rock alter ego, Jamee Blue. Jamee teaches private music lessons from her home studio in St. Paul, nurturing young musicians of all levels. When she’s not making music, she enjoys life with her husband Billy and their 2.5 dogs—Chance, Lola, and the tiny but mighty Ollie. Jamee brings energy, creativity, and heart to everything she does, on and off the stage.
Brittany Wilson
Choir Director
Brittany is a choir director with the Blue River Youth Choir. A graduate of Anderson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, she is passionate about fostering a supportive environment where young singers can grow both musically and personally.
Patrick Kuntz
Registration Coordinator
Patrick is a 2016 Music Education graduate from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and has worked with organizations throughout the central and southern Indiana region. An accomplished pianist and singer, he has received numerous awards and acknowledgements through the Shelbyville High School music department, Indiana State School Music Association, and Jacobs School of Music. More recently, he has worked as section leader and soloist with the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus and as a private instructor.
