About Us

BRYC is a year-round arts organization which is a feeder program for school music departments and increases Home School options for music curriculum.

Goals for youth attending will include learning & performing new songs, having fun, meeting new people, forming friendships, improving self esteem, posture and improving self-confidence.

Cindy Leahy

Executive Director

Cindy brings 30 years of private music studio teaching, 18 years of music teaching at St. Joseph Catholic School and Morristown High School, and many years of non-profit management experience, serving as Managing Director of Shelby County Players since 2010.  Cindy has a BA in Communications with a Minor in Music from Millikin University with teaching license and accreditation from Indiana Wesleyan University and Marion University.

Patrick Kuntz

Registration Coordinator

Patrick is a 2016 Music Education graduate from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and has worked with organizations throughout the central and southern Indiana region.  An accomplished pianist and singer, he has received numerous awards and acknowledgements through the Shelbyville High School music department, Indiana State School Music Association, and Jacobs School of Music.  More recently, he has worked as section leader and soloist with the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus and as a private instructor.

Brittany Wilson

Choir Director

Brittany has studied music since she was 3 years old. She has participated in choral and instrumental ensembles, musicals, and church choral activities. She graduated from Anderson University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. There she was a member of the Anderson University Chorale. She was blessed to travel with the Chorale all over the country and to Europe on a Scandinavian Concert Tour. She has taught music to students, grades K-4, at Triton Elementary, private voice and piano lessons, and church activities. She loves watching children grow in their love for music.

Jamee Scheid

Choir Director

Jamee Scheid is a North Decatur graduate and an Indiana State University alumna, having graduated in 2019. Currently residing in Franklin, she channels her passion for music as a vocal coach at Franklin Community Schools. Alongside her dedication to teaching, Jamee finds joy in performing with OnStage Live Cabaret in Greenwood. During her free time, she enjoys taking long walks with her husband and their eclectic pack of “two-and-a-half” dogs Ollie, Lola, and Chance.

Carol daSilva

Accompanist

Carol started piano lessons at age 5 continuing through college. Since college she has served as the Flat Rock Christian Church pianist with the past 10 years serving as the Music Director where she also plays keyboard for the church Praise Team.
